High-Tech Expertise for Amazing Results
Multiple Tooth Replacement Options
Many people with missing teeth have already struggled with multiple dental crowns and bridges and/or the downsides of traditional dentures. While dentures are less costly than implants, they must be removed and thoroughly cleaned every night. They can slip, making it difficult to speak and chew properly. Foods like caramel, apples, and corn on the cob are out of the question. Dentures also increase the risk of gum disease and bone loss. Dentures need to be replaced every 3 to 6 years versus dental implants that last 20 years or longer.
Dental Implants Change the Way People Live
We Leverage Advanced Technologies for Superb Results
Anatomage:
This complete guided surgery solution is comprised of the most advanced 3D imaging software and accurate surgical guides. This allows our team to precisely plan, create, and place natural-looking and durable All-on-X implants to restore your smile.
Plasma Rich Growth Factors (PRGF):
To create PRGF, we draw a small sample of blood from you and process it with special equipment. This advanced technology stimulates the natural healing and regeneration process that occurs after you sustain an injury. PRGF helps reduce bleeding while promoting faster bone regeneration and healing of soft tissue.
Plasma-Rich Fibrin (PRF):
PRF improves on the PRGF process because it requires a smaller sample of blood and retains a higher number of healthy white blood cells and stem cells to increase healing. In addition, PRF serum doesn’t require an anticoagulant since the mixture creates a spongy fibrin matrix that naturally prevents clotting.
Bone Morphogenetic Protein (BMP):
If you have bone loss and resorption, we may place BMP in the area(s) that need to be built back up in preparation for dental implants, such as the maxillary sinuses and jaw ridges. BMP reduces the need for aggressive harvesting of natural bone material from the body (e.g. hip), thereby reducing surgical risks, time, and costs associated with traditional autogenous bone harvesting techniques. The sample bone can often be taken directly from the site where the grafting will occur.
The Steps Required for a New Smile
Step 1: Consultation
Most of our patients are already in the market for dental implants or become candidates after initial treatment. During this visit, we’ll discuss your smile goals, perform a thorough examination, and take digital scans using our cone beam CT machine that provides an in-depth view of your teeth and jawbone in one scan. If we decide together that you’re a suitable candidate for our All-on-X protocol, we’ll discuss a detailed treatment plan and walk you through what to expect every step of the way. We’ll also schedule your next visit for dental implant surgery.
Step 2: Dental Implant Surgery
During your first surgical procedure, dental implants are placed in your jawbone in optimal sites afforded by our sophisticated imaging technology and software. It takes 3 to 4 months for your implants to fuse with bone in the lower arch and 5 to 6 months in the upper arch. During this time, the head of the implant usually remains hidden under your gums.
Step 3:
One of our oral surgeons administers local anesthesia and makes a small cut in your gums to expose the base of the implant. Then we remove a protective screw from the implant and replace it with a metal healing cap (collar), a small metal cylinder that sits above your gums in the area where your tooth would be. This maintains the space so your gum heals correctly around the implant.
Step 4: Final Restoration
Approximately two to three weeks after step three is completed, you will return to one of our practices for your final restoration. The durable and high-quality full mouth All-in-X restoration matches the appearance of natural teeth and is securely and permanently attached to your dental implants. Protecting your new smile requires brushing twice a day, flossing, and visiting us for regular professional maintenance.
A Life-Changing, Lifetime Investment in Your Smile
Along with lasting, life-changing advantages, dental implants come with a higher initial cost than traditional options. The higher cost of dental implants is offset by immediate and dramatic improvements you’ll experience in oral and systemic health, as well as a boost to your self-esteem. If you have insurance, deductible and co-payments are due at the time of service. We understand coverage, deductibles, and limitations in dental and medical policies can be confusing, so our friendly front office staff is committed to helping you understand your benefits. We also offer third-party financing to help make monthly payments more affordable. Our entire team welcomes you to learn more about full mouth dental implants in Connecticut and New York by scheduling an appointment at one of our five state-of-the-art practices.
