Meet Our Expert Medical Doctors

After completing an undergraduate degree and Physician Assistant certification at St. John’s University, Dr. Bangiyev received his Doctor of Dental degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He then completed an integrated residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and medical degree at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He currently serves on the faculty at Yale New Haven Hospital, where he teaches oral and maxillofacial surgery residents.

Dr. Sood received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Connecticut and was then accepted into their six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency program. During the course of his residency, he also received his medical degree. A primary focus of study was bone grafting, dental implant reconstruction, and use of the All-on-4 approach for full arched fixed rehabilitation.

Dental Implants

This permanent tooth replacement procedure requires the precision of a skilled implant specialist and advanced surgical technology to optimize treatment outcomes and long-term success. Dental implants are titanium posts surgically inserted into your jawbone to replace missing teeth. Once they integrate with your jawbone, the metal anchors function like your natural tooth root. Small abutments attached to the implant provide a secure and strong foundation for replacement teeth. Considered the gold standard tooth replacement solution, dental implants can replace any number of missing teeth while fully restoring function and aesthetics.

Sedation Dentistry

Whether you suffer from dental fear or anxiety, have a low pain threshold, or require complex dental work, we offer soothing sedation dentistry, as well as general anesthesia. Our team strives to ensure all our patients receive the care they need with minimal stress and worry. Once you’re comfortable and we start monitoring your vitals, one of our oral surgeons administers sedative medications. An IV catheter is placed into a vein and as the medication enters your body, you’ll feel relaxed and drowsy. When you’re properly sedated, we administer a local anesthetic because sedatives don’t block pain. After the procedure is complete, sedatives are stopped and you’ll gradually become alert as your catheter is removed. This procedure requires an adult to accompany you to and from our practice.

All-on-X

The All-on-X technique is a cost-efficient, minimally invasive method to restore the function of your mouth and give you back the confidence that comes with a beautiful smile. This technique uses four or more strategically placed dental implants that allow us to place a full-arch denture securely and permanently. Computer-guided technology enables our team to place the implants in areas of your jaw with the highest levels of bone. This often eliminates the need to perform bone grafting, which means less complications and faster healing for you.
